Star and performer Amy Schumer has revealed that she and her husband, chef Chris Fischer are divorcing following a seven-year union.
The actress shared in an Instagram post on Friday, accompanied by a picture of the pair on a train, that they had made the "challenging resolution" to split and will keep prioritizing parenting their young child.
"It's friendly, with total love and respect! Family forever," she expressed.
The 44-year-old Schumer and 45-year-old Fischer, exchanged vows in early 2018 and had their son a year later.
Light-Hearted Comments on Split
The star quipped in the social media update that the split is not due to recent weight loss and not prompted by Fischer's status as an "decorated cook who can still attract attention".
He earned the prestigious James Beard award in the American Cooking category for his 2015 cookbook focusing on Martha's Vineyard cuisine.

The couple appeared together on the TV series Learning to Cook with Amy Schumer, which ran during lockdowns.
They also shared the screen during a documentary series Preparing for Parenthood with Amy that documented her journey, who has been vocal regarding having a health issue, during her challenging gestation.
